Of Blooming Embers is the second book in the Fate of the Embered series by Rowyn Adelaide and picks up where book 1 ended.
I thoroughly enjoyed Of Withering Dreams and I was really looking forward to reading Of Blooming Embers, and I wasn’t disappointed!
While Seryn is sorting through her returned memories she and Gavrel set out on a dangerous quest to rescue Gavrel’s brother Kaden, and they meet up with some familiar faces along the way. The stakes are higher than ever in this book as there’s a prophecy to fulfill, secrets to be revealed, and people to be saved.
The world building and magic system in this series is amazing as is the character development. I really enjoyed learning more about the returning characters that were introduced in book one as well as the new characters who are integral to the overall story.
The relationship between Seryn and Gavrel was everything I want in a slow-burn romance; scorching chemistry, longing looks and tension that is ready to snap! I love that we got Gavrel’s POV in this book as well as Seryn’s as it was good to know what was going on that broody head of his.

The twists and turns in this book had me glued to the pages, and that ending!! I can’t wait for the third book to find out what happens next!
