Book Review: Make Me Dream of You by Rae Kennedy

π™ˆπ™–π™ π™š π™ˆπ™š π˜Ώπ™§π™šπ™–π™’ 𝙀𝙛 𝙔𝙀π™ͺ is the first book in the π™ˆπ™–π™ π™š π™ˆπ™š series and is Noah and Livvy’s story.

– He’s her childhood crush, and her sister’s ex-boyfriend.
– They don’t know they’ve been exchanging sexy anonymous texts with each other online.
-Now he’s falling for her on the internet and in real life.

I really, really enjoyed this book. β€˜Bad boy’ Noah has sworn off dating as he’s dealing with some trauma from his past while Livvy has had a crush on Noah since she first saw him with her sister Bex in high school.

The chemistry between Noah and Liv was obvious from the moment they reconnected with each other, but I enjoyed watching their friendship grow and their emotional connection deepen as the story unfolded.

The dual point of view gave insight into the characters thoughts and feelings as they dealt with their past and current circumstances and you could definitely see growth in the characters throughout the book.

One of my favourite things in this book was the interactions and witty banter with the side characters, who I loved, especially Noah’s cousin Wood. I’m looking forward to learning more about him in book 2.

Make Me Dream of You is well paced, with beautifully crafted character development and the slow burn was perfect. I will definitely be reading more books by Rae Kennedy.
