Fragile Sanctuary is the first book in the Sparrow Falls series and it did not disappoint!
As is usual with Catherine’s books, Fragile Sanctuary is an emotional read that tugs at the heartstrings right from the beginning of the story.
I loved Rhodes aka Reckless (best nickname ever) as the heroine. She has a traumatic past yet she is pure sunshine.
Anson is a grumpy former profiler who switched to construction work after a case he was working on took a heavy toll on him. He now keeps people at arms length to ensure he doesn’t get close to anyone again.
I loved Rho and Anson’s journey to healing; how they both had tragic pasts to overcome, their chemistry, their banter, how they found safety in each other. I think they might be my new favourite couple.
The found family trope was everything in this book and the side characters were given a lot of time in this story, which I loved, and it’s made me really excited to read their stories and get to know them more as the series progresses.
Fragile Sanctuary is a romantic suspense with plot twists and red herrings that will keep you guessing until the end!
